Paula Cunningham completed her Diploma of Physiotherapy in 1992 in Auckland, New Zealand. Since 1996, she has specialised in the field of neurology and rehabilitation and has worked for the last ten years predominantly with Spinal Cord Injury both in New Zealand and Australia.
Paula completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Health Science (Neurology) in 2002 and her Certificate of Clinical Teaching from Christchurch College of Education in 2002 whilst working at Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit. Between the years of 2000 and 2006, Paula was a director in a business specialising in health education packages for caregivers. Caregivers undertaking these courses predominantly worked with people that have sustained a spinal cord injury or provided care to the mentally ill.
Since returning from Australia in 2007, Paula works two days a week at Neuro Rehab Results and spends the remainder of her working week at Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit coordinating their Outpatient Services.
